Living in South Dakota

South Dakota is a place of amazing and rugged natural beauty. The most impressive site to see is Mount Rushmore National Memorial, where 60 foot high faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln were chiseled in granite 500 feet above The Black Hills National Forest. Other interesting places to explore are Badlands National Park, Black Hills Caves, Crazy Horse Museum, Deadwood, The Minuteman Missile Historic Site, and The Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home. Nurses can enjoy some culture along with the rolling terrain. The South Dakota Art Museum, South Dakota Cultural Heritage Center, Adam’s Museum and Home, Children’s Museum of Art, and Artists’ of the Black Hills. Outdoorsmen enjoy birding, fishing, boating, hiking, rock climbing, mountain climbing, skiing, and pheasant hunting.
